Mark your calanders for Sunday July 31st for an all-ability/half-day hike to Max Patch in North Carolina located on the Appalachian Trail. This area is considered the "Crown Jewel" of the Appalachian Trail. Please RSVP at Jay@trailhound.com, 627-9630 or toll-free 866-DOG-PACK for a meeting place and info regarding this hike. Good possibility of some early season berries on this hike of appx. 3 miles. Trail Hound Jay will give free demonstrations and have some gear for dogs to use. Also, they will be inducting dogs into the "Dog Pack" with toll-free tags, bring $5. This is an easy hike so bring the whole family and don't forget your dog (if you don't have a dog, feel free to come hike anyway, there are usually extra dogs).
